Hi!
The Problem is: I have a module, which I will duplicate with ALL Information, especially links! Edit: I can answer the question by myself. The copied module Contents the links. There are additional other differences between copying and archiving/import Archive?

Re: What's the Difference? Technically they are pretty much give you the same when it comes to content (allthough I did not check Discussions on DOORS 9, does anyone know if discussions are archived/restored or copied?). There might be another difference I guess: Access Rights. When restoring a module I am not sure if access rights are restored or set to inherited (As far as I remember they are set to inherited). When copying a module access rights might stay intact (you might want to verify this). Of course you can do a couple of things with an archive that you cannot do using a copy, e.g. restoring baselines, etc. Hope this helps, Regards, Mathias |

Seems to me access rights are preserved when you restore in the same database as the archive. Seems to me Neither preserves LinkSetPairings. |
